Feyzan Alasya

Born in Istanbul in 1976, Feyzan Alasya graduated from the Department of Art Teaching, Atatürk Faculty of Education, Marmara University, in 2002, and completed a master's degree in painting at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2005. Alasya taught art in state schools for a time; from 2008 to 2010 Alasya worked with the painter Kasım Koçak, and in 2012 attended the summer figure program of the Florence Academy of Art. Alasya uses a surreal idiom drawing on myths, literature, and cinema, and works in Bodrum and Istanbul.
