Mustafa Günay is a painter and academic who is a faculty member at Istanbul Gelisim University. Günay's paintings focus on the traces that lived experience leaves on the human face. In 2020 Günay opened an international solo exhibition titled "Traces of Life" in Northern Cyprus; a portrait from this series was added to the archive of the art museum of the TRNC Ministry of National Education and Culture. Günay has also curated some of the exhibitions at Gelişim Art Gallery.
