Neslihan Kıyar is a painter and art educator. In the Fine Arts Education Program at Selçuk University, Kıyar completed a master's degree in 2007 with research on the link between figurative painting and cultural change in contemporary Turkish art, and a doctorate in 2010 on the problem of the perception of twentieth-century art. Kıyar has written on subjects in contemporary Turkish art such as Gülsün Karamustafa and Sanat Tanımı Topluluğu.
