Şeyma Barut was born in Istanbul on May 16, 1987. In 2011, Barut was admitted to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting. Barut began undergraduate studies in the Nedret Sekban Studio and graduated from the same studio in 2017. Barut continues to work in a studio in Harbiye, Istanbul.
